Biography

Johnny will leverage a ten-year career on Wall St and recent operational success at a startup to bring a new dimension of service to FTC. His experience, relationships and strategic partnerships will be an invaluable resource to clients looking to grow their businesses.

Johnny began his career as a Financial Analyst in Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management Division a boutique division of the firm catering exclusively to families, foundations and endowments with a minimum of $20mm in liquid assets. In this role, he formulated and pitched capital market trading strategies, performed detailed asset allocation analysis, and lead business development efforts for a team managing over $1B in client assets. After the conclusion of the formal two-year training program Johnny was the only member of the class promoted directly to the MBA Associate Program.

At age 28, Johnny became the youngest Private Wealth Advisor in the country and began to build his own book of business. While in production he consistently ranked #1 against his 100+ person peer group and was a member of Morgan Stanley’s Pacesetter’s Club every year he was eligible.

Prior to joining FTC, Johnny served as the Executive Vice-President of Business Development for Austin, TX based Smarter Sorting. At Smarter Sorting, Johnny lead a successful seed fundraising round and introduced the company to Venture Capital firms setting the table for a future Series A round. He also leveraged his network to source candidates for key positions as the company continues to grow.

Giving back has always been important to Johnny. He Co-Founded and Co-Chaired the Leadership Committee for New York City based Student Sponsor Partners and the Junior Board of Directors for The Waterside School in Stamford, CT. He was elected to the Greensward Circle and Young Leadership Committee of the Central Park Conservancy. Last November he ran in the NYC Marathon with Team V in support of the V Foundation for Cancer Research. In 2008, Johnny was awarded a John C. Whitehead Fellowship by the Foreign Policy Association.

Johnny is a 2003 graduate of Williams College. At Williams, he competed on the Varsity Football and Lacrosse teams. In 2002, Johnny was selected by d3football.com as a Preseason All-American and named to the Eastern Coast Athletic Coast D3 Football All-Star Team.
